GENERAL CONDITIONS
Citizens residing in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Luxembourg may request entry visas for Mozambique at the Embassy of Mozambique located in Brussels - Belgium. Citizens of different nationalities working in the EU institutions as well as in international organizations based in these countries can also apply for visas at this Embassy.
NON COMPLIANCE
Applicants who have been expelled, forbidden to enter the Republic of Mozambique, or declared "persona non grata" do not comply with the General Conditions for obtaining entry visas.
VISA EXEMPTIONS
Nationals holding passports from the SADC countries do not require visas to enter the Republic of Mozambique. This exemption allows foreign nationals to remain in the country for a period that cannot be extended and cannot exceed 90 days.
FOR WHO
Work Visas are meant for applicants who are planning to travel to the Republic of Mozambique to be employed by others, with or without remuneration. This visa is also appropriate for the entrepreneur who would like to take up residence in the Republic of Mozambique.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
Providing applicants meet the General Conditions, the Specific Requirements are to be submitted to the embassy. The submission can be done directly at the embassy or via registered mail. The visa application processing and issuing take approximately 2 weeks.
VISA FEES & VALIDITY
This visa type is subject to application processing fees at a value of € 500. The visa is issued for a single entry and residence for 30 days and may be extended up to 60 days. However, if the employment contract is valid for more than 60 days, the applicant must apply for a Permit for Temporary Residence at the Immigration Services in Mozambique.

RETURN VIA REGISTERED MAIL
If you wish for the passport/s to be returned via registered mail, please include the following amounts in cash when sending or delivering the documents to the Embassy:
NOTE: In order to avoid any internal delays, if the application involves more than 5 passports, please give us a call.
1. TRAVEL DOCUMENT
The document should have validity not less than six (6) months / 180 (one hundred eighty) days.
2. RECENT PHOTO
Applicants should provide one recent passport-sized photo
3. MEANS OF SUPPORT
Proof of possession of sufficient funds during the applicant's stay in Mozambique.
4. EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
An employment contract signed by the competent authorities, if employed by others.
5. CRIMINAL RECORD
Criminal Record Certificate with validity not exceeding ninety days, issued by the competent authority of the country of origin or residence for the last 2 years.
The document must be translated into Portuguese by a Sworn Translator, legalized by the Ministry Of Foreign Affairs of the applicant's country of origin/ residence, and authenticated by the Mozambican Embassy. The authentication fee is € 35.
6. SUPPORTING DOCUMENT
A supporting document that enables the applicant to exercise a given profession in Mozambique and a work permit, if the applicant wishes to pursue an independent profession.
7. FOR ENTREPRENEURS
Document of investment and/or permission to work, signed by the competent authority if the applicant is an entrepreneur.
8. FOR RELIGIOUS PURPOSES
If the applicant intends to develop an activity linked to a religious organization, Authorization by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Mozambique is required. The applicant should also submit a waiver from the associated religious organization.
9. MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
Applicants are to provide a document by a competent medical authority.
10. WORK AUTHORIZATION
Authorization or permission to work, issued by the Mozambican Ministry of Labour.
11. VISA PROCESSING FEES
Payment of visa processing fees.
12. APPLICATION FOR ENTRY
The form entitled APPLICATION FOR ENTRY TO MOZAMBIQUE has to be duly completed and signed by the applicant.
The form can be filled only in English, Portuguese, or French, in capital letters, and in black or blue ink. Abbreviations and acronyms are not permitted.
NOTE: The names of the entry/exit borders mentioned in the form refer to the borders of Mozambique where the applicant will enter and exit the country.
